For great well known Bank we are looking for: Role: Business Applications Developer Location: Europe Department: Project Management Office Reports to: Head of Project Management Office Job Summary/Mission of the position Business Applications Developer is responsible for development of front-end and back-end business application within the Bank. In this role, you will design and develop user-friendly front-end interfaces, create robust back-end services, and ensure the highest code quality through rigorous testing. 2. Duties and Responsibilities The Employee’s duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following activities: Design, develop and maintain high-quality business applications using Python and SQL Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business users, product and project managers, to translate requirements into technical solutions Create robust, efficient, scalable, and secure back-end services and APIs Design and implement responsive and user-friendly front-end interfaces Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues and problems Implement security best practices to protect data and prevent vulnerabilities Write clean and maintainable code, following internal guidelines Implemented automated unit and integration tests Actively participate in peer code reviews Stay up-to-date with industry trends and development best practices 3. Job Holder Profile Education background Bachelor’s Degree in IT/Computer Science At least 5 years of work experience in the role of Business Application Developer Technical competences Proven experience as an applications developer with expertise in Python3 and relational SQL databases Experience with Python modules like pandas, polars, FastAPI, starlette, pyodbc Proven experience with MS SqlServer is a strong advantage Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle Experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery Other technical skills Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS is considered as an asset Familiarity with JetBrain’s TeamCity, Docker is considered as a plus Preferably knowledge of Avaloq API and database structure Knowledge of Unified Modeling Structure is a plus Soft skills/People management Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team Attention to detail, delivering work of a high quality, free from errors Ability to structure work efficiently and meet deadlines Languages Fluency in English, both oral and written Knowledge of Russian, French or German is considered as an asset Please send your CV+photo
